The sacrament of Reconciliation offers a face to face encounter with the love and forgiveness of God.
Through reconciliation, we receive God's forgiveness. It is through the sacrament we receive Jesus' healing grace through absolution by the priests. A person makes their first confession prior to receiving their first Holy Communion.
First Reconciliation is celebrated by children in the second grade in preparation for First Eucharist -- the receiving of the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time. Catechetical preparation is given through our Religious Education program and in our school.
Once reconciliation is received, baptized Catholics can receive the sacrament as often as a person wishes to receive the mercy of Jesus for their transgressions or guidance in their spiritual journey. The Church recommends receiving the sacrament of reconciliation at least once per year, typically during the Easter season.
Private Confession is available every Saturday in the chapel from 12:00-1:00 P.M. and after Mass by appointment. Communal penance services take place twice per year during Advent and Lent.
