Adult Faith Formation

Rite of Christian Initiation
RCIA – or the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process for those who are interested in becoming Catholic. Boy Scouts
Boy Scouts of America meet to offer formation opportunities and community for boys in 6th-12th grade. Troop meetings are Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in the Parish Hall during the school year.

Cub Scouts
Boy Scouts group for boys in 1st-5th grade. The Pack meets on the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM in the Parish Hall.

Edge (Middle School Youth Group)
Community, Fun, and Faith directed by our Youth Minister and a core team of volunteers. Meetings are on Friday Evenings at 7 PM at Blessed Sacrament. Volunteers, young at heart, with a commitment to passing on their faith are needed.
Life Teen (High School Youth Ministry)
Leading high school teens closer to Christ through Sunday night gatherings, retreats, service trips, small groups, and other opportunities. Life Nights begin at 5pm on Sundays.
Religious Education
Provide religious education to elementary school and middle school age children. This catechesis is done on Sunday mornings, and catechists, assistants, and substitute teachers are always needed. Team teaching is welcomed. All materials are provided, and a background check is required before working with children. Please visit our Religious Education page to learn more.

Christ Renews His Parish

Council of Catholic Women
The Women’s Guild, the umbrella organization for the church circles, is comprised of officers and the circle chairpersons. Socials and a mini-retreat for all women of the church are overseen by the CCW. The CCW is affiliated with the National Council of Catholic Women.

Women’s Bible Study
Open to all Women who would like to share in the Word of God through various scripture study series, prayer, discussions, and how we apply it to our daily lives. Meeting times are 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM each Sunday morning.

Women’s Circle: Mother Seton
Mother Seton Circle meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Trinity School Media Center. Their annual fundraiser is the sale of homemade Jams & Jellies at church the weekend before Thanksgiving, which supports our charitable projects. Members also meet monthly for lunch and enjoy praying and supporting each other.

Women’s Circle: St. Catherine
St. Catherine meets on the 2nd Monday of the month in the Miccosukee Room at 11:00 am. Through Bake Sales on the second Sunday of every month (September-June), the circle is able to make contributions to support Elder Care Services, Big Bend Hospice, Boy’s Town, etc.

Women’s Circle: St. Therese
St. Therese meets on the 2nd Wednesday at 7:00 PM in the Nursery. Thanks to funds raised through their annual cheese ball sales they are able to support members of the religious community, their parish, and their school. Their meetings include faith, fun, and fellowship.

Women of Mary Immaculata
A prayer group focused on bringing Catholic women, from all parishes in the Tallahassee area, together in prayer. Under the patronage of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (and Maximilian Kolbe) we strive to develop the virtues of Mary, especially her humility, purity of heart, and love of God. Meetings are once a month on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm at the St. John Neumann Center.

Christ Renews His Parish
Knights of Columbus
The Knights are a Catholic men’s fraternal benefit society. The Fr. Hugon Council meets on the 4th Thursday of every month at 7 PM at the Neumann Center.

Men’s Club (Men of Blessed Sacrament)
The MOBS is for all men of the parish over 18. They meet on the first Friday of each month at 7:00 AM for Mass in the church followed by a short meeting in the parish hall that includes coffee and donuts. They serve as a hub for all parish ministries to communicate activities and to coordinate the needs of the parish.

St. Joseph's Praying Husbands
Catholic Married Men who desire to grow in love, knowledge, and service of God and neighbor- to imitate Saint Joseph in being husbands, to our wives, and fathers to our children. Meetings are every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM in the Legion of Mary Room, located on the second floor above the Parish Hall.

Filipino Ministry
Filipino-Americans and others that want to share the Catholic Filipino traditions, like devotion to the Holy Infant Jesus, devotion to the Blessed Mary in "Flores de Mayo", and the Crowning of the Virgin Mary. We support our church community through fundraising and participate in the Filipino Choir.
Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration
The exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is a life-giving ministry for Blessed Sacrament Church and surrounding Catholic Community. Consider signing up for one hour for some quiet time with Jesus.

Sacred Heart Enthronements
A beautiful way to bring the peace and love of Jesus into the family. A simple ceremony, which is done by either a priest or a deacon, where the Sacred Heart image is officially enthroned.

Bereavement
This ministry helps families by offering support, friendship, healing, and understanding at a time of family need and personal sorrow. We attend the visitation at the funeral home, pray the Rosary and organize volunteers and help with receptions following the funeral service.

Creation Care Ministry
This ministry was started by Parishioners desiring to put into practice the Church’s teachings on the environment and care for creation. The group undertakes projects around the parish and the larger community to help protect our common home. We also discuss ways we can help care for the environment as individuals, as families, and as a parish.

Food Pantry
Our parish has a food pantry on site for parishioners in need. All parishioners are welcome to bring donations of non-perishable food to mass on the weekends and put it in the food basket in the vestibule.

Good News Outreach
A faith-based organization that strives to reduce hunger, homelessness, and isolation by providing food, shelter, and social interaction through collaborative efforts within the Tallahassee community. Programs: Maryland Oaks, Crossing, Mercy House, Food Pantry

Kearney Center Lunch
A monthly lunch at the homeless shelter, providing specific items and helping to serve the Lunch for 200.

Serra Club
Lay Catholics who provide support for seminarians and other vocations. They meet to discuss vocations on the third Wednesday of each month at the Neumann Center. Meetings include Mass and a brief lunch.

Sick and Homebound
This Ministry helps to keep our parishioners who are sick and homebound connected to the parish by visiting them and many times bringing them communion. Also, aid with transportation needs.
